Would you love to go on a wild adventure on a beautiful snowy trail this winter? There’s nothing better than a snowmobile rental on RORE to make your adventure affordable and possible.

Riding on a snowmobile or ski-doo is one of the most exhilarating adventures you can ever have during winter in Ontario. Best suited for chilly weather, it is possible to have a nice time on these machines anytime of the year in northern parts of the country.

When it comes to snowmobiling adventures, it’s fun to explore the trails alone, but bring a friend for the ride and you’ll find it much more enjoyable and affordable.

You don’t necessarily need the help of anyone to get going with it, and you don’t have to worry about them breaking down. Snowmobiles are built to withstand harsh weather and wade through rugged terrains without any issues.

Though expensive, you don’t really need to own one. We offer snowmobile rentals at RORE.

Best Snowmobiling Trails in Ontario

Ontario offers some of the most incredible trails in North America for enjoying a snowmobile ride. The fauna and terrain varies from one county to the next and towns often have restaurants, gas stations, and places to stay along the most popular routes.

That said, here are some of the newest and most popular trails in Ontario:

Midland Trails

Midland is the place to be if you’re looking to enjoy a long ride on a snowmobile. The trail is well managed and features a number of inns where you can relax a little while snowmobiling. In addition to inns, the trail has several other amenities that will make your snowmobile ride a fun and enjoyable experience. Plus, the phone service here is good!

Midland is sandwiched between Gravenhurst and the Duncan Escarpment; not too far from the Port Severn and Orillia area.

Bancroft Trails

If you are not cut out for a long and challenging snowmobile ride in the Midland area, you may want to consider heading off to Bancroft. Every year, Bancroft attracts thousands of riders looking to find the adventure of a lifetime, thanks to the hilly terrain and snowy weather in the area. Unlike Midland, Bancroft has some shorter trail, although you can easily connect to the Madawaska and Bon Echo loops from here.

Bancroft offers a wide range of amenities, including inns and suites, snowmobile repair shops, and a handful of cafes. Snowmobiling is best enjoyed during the day when the temperature is fairly warm.

Our snowmobile rentals cover the Bancroft area. Please check out our snowmobile listings to find rentals available in the area.

Owen Sound Trails

Owen Sound is one of the few areas in Ontario that offers a vast collection of long and short trails to explore. In 2022, some of the best ski-doo trails to consider would be the Grey Bruce Peninsula Trail.

Owen Sound is best enjoyed during summer when life in Ontario is at its fullest, but don’t be afraid of the cold. As you would expect, there are a handful of inns and suites where you can retire and rest after a day of snowmobiling.

Gravenhurst Trail

Located at the center of Muskoka and a few miles away from Lake of Bays Watch, Gravenhurst is the place to be if you are looking forward to experiencing exceptional countryside.

As for lodging, you have nothing to worry about. There are several affordable inns available where you can spend your night comfortably.

Trailblazer Tour Loop

Spanning over 100km in length and crisscrossing the beautiful plains of Algonquin Park, Trailblazer is a hub for snowmobile enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies. Riding on any of the several Trailblazer trails will give you a chance to experience Ontario’s natural landscape while still having mad fun.

Trailblazer is filled with several restaurants and cafes where you can go and chill a little after a full day of riding. The meals in this area are quite good and affordable.

Algonquin Tour Park

And so we saved the last for the best. Algonquin park is undoubtedly one of Ontario’s most popular snowmobiling trails, with a total trail length of over 850km. It can take up to 5 days to ride through this long terrain.

Algonquin’s trail cuts through Ontario’s forest and is filled with many diverse sightings. Riding on this trail will offer you some of the most incredible views of Ontario’s mountainous terrain.
